A Message from the Broker
As I'm preparing to start Slice of Florida® Realty to service the residential real estate market across the state, I realize that some may wonder why I am choosing to no longer be affiliated with the National Association of Realtors - also known as NAR.
It would appear as though every new Florida Real Estate licensee has been corralled into the REALTOR® pool by design. This comes with a host of regulations that are not required by the state of Florida, and in my opinion are not always in the best interest of the customer.
The good news is... a licensed agent only needs to be part of that club if they work for a broker who is also part of the club. With all the changes being forced on the REALTOR® work force and their customers, getting back to the basics is looking quite desirable for this Licensed Real Estate Broker.
Through the years I have found most brokers do not offer their customers the highest level of representation the state of Florida allows, referred to in the industry as "Single Agency Representation". Many are also hesitant to allow their agents access to the Residential Contract for Sale and Purchase. My educated theory is that the higher level of liability is an undesirable risk to these brokers. I get it. As someone who uses this contract on most of the deals I handle, it's a lot of work.
As your broker I am committed to serving my agents and customers with the best tools available. We are proud to announce that agents at Slice of Florida® Realty will be equipped to provide our customers with this top level of personal representation. Once Slice Of Florida Realty, LLC is in full swing, we will provide an avenue for agents to truly represent their clients unlike anything I've seen in Florida.
The bottom line is this; the state of Florida offers much more freedom to represent our customers and clients than many NAR brokerages in Florida will allow. Being free from the multiple layers of decision makers between myself and the state of Florida will allow Slice Of Florida® Realty to offer agents and customers more service, more options, and more satisfaction.
